THE KAYDON STORY

Kaydon Custom Filtration Corporation operations include two plants, Elements Plant and Systems Plant, both located in LaGrange, GA with the division headquarters offices in the Elements Plant. Kaydon Custom Filtration Corporation originated as the Bowser Briggs Company, founded in 1885. Bowser was subsequently purchased and joined with Kaydon Engineering Company, a specialty bearing manufacturer. The combined Kaydon Corporation became an independent publicly owned company in 1984. Bowser's original tradition of leadership in development of filtration products for diesel fuel and turbine oil has been carried on with vigor and imparted to other markets by Kaydon Custom Filtration Corporation.

KAYDON OEM AND GOVERNMENT PRODUCTS

Kaydon works with OEM customers to develop new applications or improve existing system filtration performance. Perhaps Kaydon's most important achievement is the development of specialized liquid conditioning systems for specific applications. Good examples are the TURBO-TOC® turbine oil conditioning systems specified by power generating companies and turbine manufacturers and the KFC series diesel fuel conditioning systems.

KAYDON INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT LINE

Kaydon Custom Filtration Corporation designs and builds industrial oil filtration equipment and fuel filtration equipment for markets such as Power Generation, Fuel Handling, Refineries and Petro-Chemical Plants, Pulp & Paper, Steel, Marine, and Mining. Kaydon specializes in removing harmful water from lube oil with special expertise in turbine oil conditioning for both small industrial steam turbines and large power generating turbines. Kaydon has been successful in keeping water out of diesel fuel for tugboats, truck terminals, and gas turbines. Kaydon has an R&D department with engineering experience in designing custom filtration products to meet customer's specific needs.
